About Us

We are a family owned and operated landscape company that has been in business since 1989. From very humble beginnings, M&M Professional Landscaping has grown to be one of the premier landscape companies in Northern Virginia.

The company was founded in 1989 by Trent Morris while he was in high school. Based out of his parents garage, he would mow lawns every day after school until it was dark. What started as a small handful of houses on his parents street in McLean soon became many properties spread out across McLean, Great Falls and Vienna. Clients recognized Trent’s drive to provide a superior level of service at an affordable price.

Although the company has grown tremendously over the past 25 years, not much has changed. We still strive to provide the same level of quality and customer experience that made Trent successful in the beginning.

Trent and his crews are unbelievable! Our first bid came from M&M, and then we spent several months acquiring 8 or 9 bids from other competitors. Out of everyone, M&M without a doubt was our top pick, not just because Trent's proposed renderings were landscape/hardscape art, but because M&M is a one stop shop. Instead of dealing with multiple contractors (who might point fingers and blame one another when issues arise during the course of a big project), M&M managed it ALL in house. They demo'ed our old deck, created a GORGEOUS paver patio, solved our water drainage issues, installed lighting, AND landscaped our entire backyard - including transplanting mature plants from the center of the yard to create a larger play area for our children. All of this was done in 10 work days from start to finish! Furthermore, the work they promised was DELIVERED. We had a lot of anxiety that it would look like the drawings we were shown, but to be honest, the finished product looks even better than the initial proposal! We were flabbergasted! And, at the end of the project, Trent even hired someone to come out and power wash the sides of our house, the new patio, and our entire driveway! All of our neighbors said they had never seen a company do what they did. We are so pleased and know that we will enjoy our back yard for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful and just LOVE M&M!

After considering 5 quotes, I chose M&M to install a paver patio, stone walkway and landscaping. Though the patio & walkway are beautiful, a few things weren’t quite right and M&M stepped up to make the adjustments. I didn’t ask them to do it, but they insisted because they wanted to meet my expectations and make sure everything was completed correctly. I truly appreciated their professionalism in doing so. I’ve enjoyed working with and getting to know Trent & the crew. I rely on their suggestions and expertise, and I’m having them install more landscaping this spring. I’ve referred M&M to a few neighbors who have since had projects completed by them and more neighbors are in the works. The office staff is awesome, especially Tracey who I spoke with the most.

Had concrete patio extended and flagstoned. M&M price was more than fair and the crew of four, who obviously had worked together for sometime and knew exactly what they were doing, were extremely professional and performed with well-oiled precision. We were so happy with the effort, we decided to have M&M do some creative landscaping in a rather confined area. Once again the specialized landscaping crew (different from the concrete guys) did a magnificent job planting trees and shrubs and also installed a well-designed flagstone walkway through the newly planted garden. We don’t think you can go wrong hiring this local Northern Virginia company for building your patio and/or handling any of your landscaping needs! We’d use them again in a heartbeat!

We are the third household in early Fall 2018 in our cul-de-sac in Wolftrap Meadows in Vienna to use M&M due to the outstanding nature of their design and implementation work in both landscaping and lighting. M & M did an amazing job of resetting our 30 year old field stone patio and sidewalk and blending it with a new patio on the other side of our screen porch. I really appreciate their commitment to adjusting the design as we went along to accommodate unique water and draining problems in our setting. They were relentless in coming up with a variety of solutions and, equally important, they involved us in the decision-making. We found their crews and onsite manager to "walk on water " -- hard working, competent, courteous and customer-friendly. Sometimes we had two crews working and they always respected both our property and our neighborhood. M&M subs for outdoor lighting and gutter work were equally impressive and we enjoyed the option of doing one-stop shopping. The new augmented lighting on the front significantly added to our property value and appearance. High quality cleanup of affected planting beds, shrubbery and lawn areas was well done.

I was trying to create my own version of a screened in porch because I didn't have the room for a true one. Trent helped me create a vision and executed it beyond my dreams. He built me the most beautiful pergola with lights and a fan. I can not wait for the weather to change and to have friends in my yard to enjoy it. The crew that did the work was so tuned into making sure I had everything exactly as I wanted. The project took less than a week, but at the end every single thing I requested and more was complete. I am so used to contractors getting 90% of the job done and then moving on to the next job - this was not the case with M&M Professional. I give them my highest rating!!!

We worked with M&M Landscaping to plant new landscaping, affix veneer stone and place railings on our porch, and install a new patio with ceiling fan and lights. Because the work was so varied, we worked with several M&M crews and supervisors. The work was professionally done with great attention to detail. We found the different crews to be attentive and nice. M&M was very responsive to our questions and requests. We made the right choice!

I NEVER write reviews but I had to write a review about M&M Professional Landscaping. They were excellent for my Side Garden on my house. Katie was my designer, and she was honest, open and very nice to work with. I recommend asking for her! She drew up what she could with my budget and I was very pleased. They were professional and got the work done efficiently and quickly. Most importantly I could depend on them and they were very affordable. M & M Landscaping was an excellent company who was professional in every aspect of their work. Our project entailed replacement of a retaining wall (stone), landscape lighting, a waterfall, deck refurbishing as well as pool opening. From the onset, Trent took a very personal interest in our project. After the initial meeting, we clearly understood the scope of the work, the cost, and the timeline for completion. He was always accessible via phone or email and expeditiously answered all of our questions. We hired M&M to build a screened in deck w/ skylights, uncovered extension, staircase, sliding doors, gas fireplace, ground level patio, and lighting throughout. Everything turned out great. Trent is very good with design ideas and recommendations. The crews are all very friendly and professional. The construction process for projects like this can be bumpy and frustrating at times - but ultimately M&M can be trusted to deliver. We recommend M&M and would hire them again for future projects

We recently completed a project with M & M Landscaping and are thrilled with the outcome. Trent Morris and his team reconfigured our front door steps and built a retaining wall for a large planting area adjacent to the steps – all in stone. The project also involved removing our old steps and replacing with new concrete before the new stone can be laid. The scope and design we agreed upon was very well executed and with the utmost professionalism by both Trent and his team. Project Cost and timeline was clearly communicated to us and adhered to, with no surprises. This is a testament to the level of expertise and accuracy in measurements which resulted in very little waste of material or delays. When we first spoke to Trent, we already had a vision in mind, but we really needed the input of a professional to help finalize our design. After doing research and speaking to other contractors, we were really impressed with Trent’s ease and willingness to accommodate our request. He talked us through the process, reviewed the design and materials and made appropriate recommendations, which really helped the outcome. In fact, both during and after the project, neighbors and drive-byes would continuously stop to ask for the name of the contractor and compliment on the design. The workmanship is very clean and skillful, with great attention to the details. I’m very particular about finishing work, and they definitely met my standards! In fact, everyone on the team was so professional and a pleasure to work with that our project went quite smooth. Trent made a point to stop by or connect with us daily, but just as important he made sure his team was well guided to complete the work as promised and on-time. We had no issues getting a hold of anyone and if I had a question Trent was very responsive whenever I reached out. And, just as an added note, please take a look at the body of stone and landscaping work this company has completed on their website. It's impressive and beautiful. My husband and I are really happy to have worked with Trent and his team at M&M Landscaping and we would highly recommend this team for any hardscape or landscape projects. We look forward to working with M&M on future projects.
